Department of Business Administration Hosts Symposium on Employee Mental Health and Well-being at HRCONF2026
As an integral part of the "International Conference on Human Resilience: Navigating Life Changes & Challenges” (HRCONF2026) organized by Hong Kong Shue Yan University, the Department of Business Administration hosted a symposium on 29 May 2026 under the theme “Employee Mental Health and Well-being: Challenges and Opportunities in the Modern Workplace”. The Department’s Dr. Francis Cheung Business Analytics Research Centre (DFCBARC) also serves as a partner and sponsor for this conference.

The symposium was chaired by Dr. Monica Law, Head of the Department of Business Administration, and moderated by Dr. Jessy Wang. It focused on the challenges and viable strategies for safeguarding employee mental health and enhancing well-being. Five scholars were invited to share their research findings, covering topics such as the inclusive workplace policies for Gen Z employees, the effect of team proactive personality composition on team voice, AI-driven entrepreneurial learning behaviours, the measurement of psychosocial risks at work, and the role of home crafting in enhancing work performance and reducing exhaustion.

After each presentation, the speakers actively engaged with the audience, answering questions related to their research topics. The lively exchanges and in-depth discussions reflected the strong interest in employee mental health and well-being among both academics and practitioners.

The Department of Business Administration remains committed to advancing evidence-based research, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue, and translating scholarly insights into practical solutions. By supporting academic exchange and collaborative efforts, the Department strives to address emerging challenges in the modern workplace and contribute to the well-being of individuals and organizations alike.
