A three-member team from the Department of Business Administration of Hong Kong Shue Yan University took part in the PolyU Business School Case Competition 2026. The Shue Yan representatives included Chan Chun Ho, Wong Siu Tung, and Pun Ka Wai. They competed against teams from other local universities in a strict, technology-free format, and the team gained highly valuable experience.
Under the competition rules, the team had three hours to analyse a real-world business case and prepare a presentation using only pen, paper, markers, and a basic calculator. They handwrote their presentation on A4 paper, displayed their work using a visualiser, and presented before a panel of industry judges. The judges offered constructive feedback, which helped the students better understand the importance of crisis management, a key lesson learned from operating in a high-pressure, low-resource environment.
The event also provided valuable networking opportunities, allowing the Shue Yan students to connect with industry professionals and build relationships for future career prospects.
