Visiting GS1 Hong Kong (參觀香港貨品編碼協會)
On 9 April 2026, our BUS385 Internet of Things (IoT) class embarked on an exciting visit to the GS1 Hong Kong office. This visit provided students with a unique opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of barcode, QR code and RFID technologies within the IoT framework.
During the visit, students discovered how these technologies significantly boost supply chain efficiency and product traceability. The GS1 team presented groundbreaking solutions that leverage barcodes, QR codes, and RFID for real-time inventory management, enhanced consumer engagement, and powerful data analytics.
