We proudly congratulate our students for their outstanding achievement in the Inter-University Project Competition 2026, held on 7 January 2026 (2:00–4:30 p.m.) at Lecture Theatre RLB 303, Research Complex Lower Block, Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU). The event was jointly organized by the Department of Business Administration, HKSYU, and the Department of Information Systems, City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK).
HKSYU teams won both the Champion and Second Runner-up awards among strong competitors. The competition, themed around Bauhaus International (Holdings) Limited, invited students to develop innovative, data-driven business strategies integrating creativity and feasibility.
The judging panel comprised Ms. Frances Wong (Managing Director, Bauhaus International Holdings Ltd.), Dr. Ron Kwok (Associate Professor, Department of Information Systems, CityUHK), and Dr. Monica Law (Head, Department of Business Administration, HKSYU). To ensure fairness, the judges were not informed of each team’s university affiliation in advance. They praised the participants for their well-researched, creative, and practical proposals—Dr. Kwok highlighting evidence-based insights, Ms. Wong recognizing innovative and market-ready ideas, and Dr. Law commending the teams’ efficiency and execution.

Guided by Dr. Gabriel Lai and Dr. Yongjin Park, the course leaders of eBusiness at the HKSYU and CityUHK respectively, the students from both universities demonstrated exceptional analytical and presentation skills. Student reflections from both winning teams echoed a shared sense of gratitude for their teammates, teachers, and the rare opportunity to engage in cross-university collaboration. Many emphasized that beyond the awards, the competition fostered growth in problem-solving, teamwork, confidence, and qualities that will continue to guide them in future endeavors.
