Biography

Dr Joseph Siu-Lung KONG completed his BBA and PhD in Information Systems at the City University of Hong Kong. His research and teaching focused on the video game industry, gaming psychology, creativity and entrepreneurship. Before entering university, Joseph was one of the top racing eSport athletes in Hong Kong, specialising in the “GranTurismo” series. He runs a blog and YouTube channel to study social marketing, which covers topics like IT knowledge, Nerf blasters, digital gaming, and disruptive mindset. At his alma mater, Joseph founded the Department of Information Systems Fortitude Award in 2019 and became an Ordinary Member of CityU Foundation in 2020. Seat #F26 was named after him at the CityU Wong Cheung Lo Hui Yuet Hall. He owns the registered trademark “Joseph Kong” in Hong Kong.
