Professional Recognition


Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM)

Students of Human Resource Management Concentration are eligible to apply for Student Membership; graduates of HRM are eligible to apply for Associate Membership.
 

Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI, formerly named as Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries)

Graduates of the BBA (Hons) with Concentration in Corporate Governance will be granted exemption of 4 subjects under Professional Programme Part One of the International Qualify Scheme (IQS) of HKCGI. These four subjects are: Strategic and Operations Management, Hong Kong Financial Accounting, Hong Kong Corporate Law and Hong Kong Taxation, with the condition that students must complete and pass the 4 elective subjects as follows:

  • BUS 405 Hong Kong Taxation & Planning
  • BUS 418 Contemporary Issues in Corporate Governance
  • LAW 320 Contemporary Secretaryship
  • LAW 401 Company Law
     

Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK)

Graduates of our Financial Services and Planning concentration will obtain the exemptions on the CFPCM Certification Education Program* of the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK) on the following three courses: 

  • Course 1: Investment Planning and Asset Management
  • Course 2: Insurance Planning and Risk Management
  • Course 3: Tax Planning and Estate Planning

Besides, graduates of Bachelor's Degree in any discipline are eligible for exemption from the 120-hour AFP Certification Education Program.

Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures Intermediaries (LE)

Graduates of Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) may be granted exemptions* for Paper 7 (Financial Markets) and Paper 8 (Securities) on Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures Intermediaries from Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI).

 *subject to final approval from HKSI

 # Different exemption and recognition polices may be applied to different cohorts of graduates, subject to final approval of professional bodies themselves.
 


Hong Kong Institute of Marketing (HKIM) 

Student Membership: The Year-4 students from the BBA (Hons) are eligible to apply to become student members of HKIM.

Associate Membership: Graduates of the BBA(Hons) are eligible to apply to become associate members of HKIM.
 


Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)

Students studying the BBA (Hons) are eligible to apply exemptions from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) at Level 4 (L4) Certificate in Professional Marketing modules (“Marketing” & “Integrated Communications”) or L4 Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing modules (“Applied Marketing and Planning Campaigns”). They will be required to pass one further elective module to obtain the L4 Certificate in Professional Marketing or Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing qualification.
